Database mapping
To map a list of identifiers from one database to another:
- Paste the identifiers into the database mapping form that can be accessed from all pages via the Mapping tab.[*]
- Select a source database.
- Select a target database.

If you want to map all search results from a query in UniProtKB to another database, instead of transferring the identifiers into the mapping form yourself, click on the Mapping tab, select the target database and click on Map.[*]
After submitting the identifiers you are forwarded to a download page where you can retrieve either:
- a list of unique identifiers in the target database, or
- a tab-separated file that indicates which identifiers in the source database were mapped to which identifiers in the target dataset.
If you mapped to UniProtKB, there is also a link to list the entries in a search result table, where they can be viewed, browsed, or filtered.

[*] Note that the number of identifiers that can be submitted is currently limited to 1,000. If you submit more, they will be ignored.
